1. You must be over 13 years of age to participate in this game, preferably over 16 years. If you are younger than 13, you are allowed to play, but you must have written parental permission. Please remember that we are aimed at a mature audience, so if you are a younger player, try not to act your age.
2. Do not behave rudely to other players. You don't have to like them, but do mind your manners.
3. Each member may have a total of one free account. You are allowed as many paid accounts as you wish.
4. You may not create new accounts if your previous account(s) have been suspended.
5. Players must not take advantage of problems with the game code. Any problems/bugs/errors should be reported immediately.
6. Animal names must not contain references to sex, racial slurs, threats, vulgarity, drugs or alcohol consumption. They can be edited or deleted without warning if the administration thinks they are inappropriate.
7. Any of the following things are prohibited on Best of Breed: offensive or rude behaviour, harrassment of other players; discussion of the following topics: Sex, alcohol, drugs, violence, other chat rooms, any online game other than Best of Breed; posting of weblinks not directly animal related; spamming links to other online games; profanity; impersonating another player or game administrator.

8. All members are expected to use appropriate behaviour. This means no swearing, spamming or general disturbance. I can, and will, bite back.
9. No posting, advertising or recruiting for other games without prior written permission from Jasmine.
10. No sending chain emails or group emails of any kind other than Best of Breed related to Best of Breed members.
11. Any official has the authority to expell or suspend members who violate any of these rules.
12. Do not under any circumstance(s) give your password to any other player.
13. Best of Breed and its owners do not condone the use of copyrighted photos on players' pages unless prior permission has been recieved. As such we are under no liability if a player does so. Players are strongly advised to ask and receive the permission of the photo's owner before placing it on their pages.
14. If you don't become active within a month after recieving your acceptance email, or you aren't active for over a month straight, your account will be deleted, and you will have to reapply to join. This also means that you forfeit any animals that were under your ownership.
15. Players may not violate the terms of services at any time during game play.
16. When starting out, please ensure you introduce yourself in the welcome mat section of the forum so we can get to know you.

These are the levels of membership, depending on how long you have not only been a member, but been active within the game. If you meet the requirements for the next level up, email Jasmine to apply for the next level. This does not apply to subscribed members, they have their own limits. See the subscription page for details.

Newcomer Members

1. A new member, who has been here for less than a month.
2. Cannot create any animals.
3. Can own up to 20 total animals.
4. Cannot create a business, registry or private facility.
5. Start with $50,000.

To Move Onto the Next Level

1. Must have entered at least one show.
2. Must be boarded at an approved facility.
3. Must have been active for three months.
4. Must have made at least 50 good posts on the forum.

Beginner Members

1. A member, who has been active within the game for three months.
2. Can create two animals.
3. Can own up to 35 total animals.
4. Can create a business or registry.
5. Gets an additional $50,000.

To Move Onto the Next Level

1. Must have been active for six months.
2. Must have held a minimum of one show.
3. Must have entered at least two shows.
4. Must be boarding at an approved facility.
5. Must have made at least 100 good posts on the forum.

Intermediate Members

1. A member, who has been active within the game for six months.
2. Can create three animals.
3. Can own up to 40 total animals.
4. Can create a business or registry.
5. Can create mini-barns off an approved facility in exchange for rent.
6. Gets an additional $50,000.

To Move Onto the Next Level

1. Must have been active for one year.
2. Must have held a minimum of two shows.
3. Must have entered at least three shows.
4. Must be boarding at an approved facility.
5. Must have created at least one established business or registry.
6. Must have made at least 200 good posts on the forum.

Advanced Members

1. A member, who has been active within the game for at least a year.
2. Can create five animals.
3. Can own up to 50 total animals.
4. Can create a business, registry or private facility.
5. Gets an additional $100,000.

1. Every new free member starts off with $50,000. Free members are not permitted to create animals, you have to acquire animals from other breeders. You are permitted to have three breedings per Best of Breed year.
2. All animals must be boarded at an approved facility within one week of change of ownership.

3. All animals age one year every six months. Six months is one Best of Breed year.

4. All animals must be registered before they are allowed to be shown in any form.

5. No two animals can have the same name.

6. Should you wish to quit, please contact me so arrangements can be made for your animals. If you decide to come back at a later time, you will need to start over.

7. All animals must be three years of age or over to be bred.

8. You must own a stable/kennel/cattery or registry to run a show, or hire the lands off someone who has a lodge. In other words, you must have the appropriate facility to host the show.

9. All show hosts must check entries. Fines will be issued for incorrect entries to both the person who entered the show and the host.

10. All businesses/registries/boarding and private facilities must be approved by the Approval Committee.

11. After a litter has been born, it'll need to be registered. If they haven't been registered within one week, they will be sold.

12. You aren't allowed to breed animals until you've been an active member for over a month.

13. To become a trainer of dogs or horses, you have to take a test.

14. You must wait one real time month before you apply to take another test. If you failed, you must wait one month to resit it.

15. You have to have been an active member for at least a month before you apply to become a trainer.
16. It takes animals one week before they are considered trained in that discipline.
17. Animals may be speed aged up to a maximum of two years as long as the age doesn't conflict with the age of the sire or dam. Speed aging can not be reversed.
18. Only the owner of a mare, bitch or queen may initiate a breeding. This player is also responsible for the breeding credit used.
19. Once a check is made out for the sale of an animal, the original owner has no claim on the animal. Sales contracts are not binding within Best of Breed, though they are welcome and most members will follow them out of common courtesy

1. Pay your boarding/mini barn fee every month.
2. Make at least five posts on the forum every month.
